Our dark Ecuador chocolate with an intense cocoa aroma is refined with fruity sour cherries. A “sour makes you smile” treat!
We use beans from Haçienda Sofia in Naranjal, one of Ecuador’s most traditional cocoa farms. Family-owned since 1985, it is now run by the third generation. The 100-hectare farm stands out for its valuable stock of cocoa trees over 40 years old, which provide the beans’ distinctive aromatic depth.
As an organic-certified operation, Hacienda Sofia pursues a consistent zero-waste policy: cocoa shells are turned into compost, and the pulp is used in innovative ways to minimize the ecological footprint. With its own drying facilities directly on the farm and complete traceability, the on-site team guarantees the highest quality standards. The result is a first-class fine-flavor cocoa produced under fair social conditions and in harmony with nature.
Our dried organic sour cherries from Germany have a pleasantly tart note and the typical sour-cherry flavor. Thanks to the gentle drying process, the fruit retains particularly high levels of vitamins and minerals.
