Our dark Nicaragua chocolate made from O’Tuma beans is refined with crunchy, roasted whole hazelnuts.
Our O’Tuma beans come from the Waslala region, where they are organically cultivated by a network of approximately 1,200 small farmers. To guarantee excellent quality of the Trinitario genetics, the cocoa is harvested fresh weekly and fermented for 7 days and dried for 7 days under controlled conditions at a central facility. The entire process is organic-certified and places a special focus on traceability and social sustainability on site.
The result in the bar is a complex flavor profile with delicate notes of roasted nuts, wood, and a pleasant, light acidity.
We gently roast the organic hazelnuts from Turkey ourselves to ensure they are wonderfully crunchy and develop their full flavor.
