Our dark Madagascar chocolate with pleasant citrus acidity and aromas of tropical fruits, honey, and roasted nuts. A pure single-origin indulgence with fruity and complex flavors.

Our cocoa beans come from the Ottange Farm in the Sambirano Valley in Madagascar, where MAVA SA took over a former state-owned cocoa plantation. The MAVA plantation covers approximately 635 hectares and consists of eight different farms that grow cocoa in traditional agroforestry systems. The smallest farm, Ottange, is located on the banks of the Ramena River and produces around 6 tons of cocoa per year.

The cocoa consists predominantly of Trinitario genetics, with small proportions of Criollo and Forastero. After harvesting, the beans from each farm are fermented separately and processed in wooden boxes for six days before being dried on wooden tables for about a week.
